This Thanksgiving, I’m feeling deeply grateful --- not just for family, health, and friendships, but also for the incredible journey we’re living through in the markets.
Both India and the US are in rare phases of opportunity, each in their own way. India is riding a powerful structural wave --- a mix of confidence, capital flows, and entrepreneurship that’s lifting businesses across sectors. The US continues to offer timeless compounding machines, built on innovation and resilience.
Looking at the markets this year, including some Indian company charts like the one to the left.
I am reminded how fast things can change when fundamentals meet momentum. Companies that quietly execute for years suddenly get discovered. A slow grind turns into a breakout. And what looks like a small inflection today becomes a multi-year compounding story tomorrow.
But one thing remains constant:
Real wealth is created not by noise, but by deep work.
This year, I’m especially thankful for the wisdom passed down by Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Their teachings remind us:
Read more than you scroll.
Understand businesses, not stock prices.
Study annual reports, not social media opinions.
Stay patient when others chase thrill.
Look for hidden gems where the world isn’t looking.
And the truth is — the market still has so many hidden gems waiting to be found. The chart attached is just one example of what happens when a business quietly compounds under the surface before the world notices. India especially is full of such companies right now — high-quality, founder-led, low-debt, long-runway businesses.
Opportunities in both India and the US feel abundant if we stay disciplined:
read more, think independently, work deeply, and let compounding do its magic.
So this Thanksgiving, here’s to:
gratitude, learning, curiosity, patience, and the joy of discovering great businesses long before the crowd.
Wishing you and your loved ones a warm, joyful, and prosperous Thanksgiving.
May the coming year be full of wisdom — and a few wonderful multi-baggers along the way.
Happy Holidays
